Disneyland Paris remains the number-one family destination in Europe. With two theme parks — Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios — and a lively Disney Village, the Marne-la-Vallée resort offers a full day (or more) of magic for children and adults alike. Here's how to plan it perfectly.
Planning Your Disneyland Paris Visit
Book Tickets in Advance
Prices vary significantly by season: during school holidays or special events (Halloween, Christmas), they can be considerably higher. Booking on the official site (disneylandparis.com) at least 2–3 weeks ahead guarantees the best rates and entry to your chosen park.
Plan Your Day by Theme Area
Arrive early — ideally at opening time — to access the most popular rides (Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Star Wars…) before queues build up. Download the official Disneyland Paris app to check real-time wait times.
The Premier Access option lets you reserve a priority time slot for headline attractions. In peak season, it can easily save 1–2 hours of queuing — often worth it for families.
Getting There: Shuttle Options
From Central Paris
The RER A line connects Paris (Nation, Châtelet, Charles-de-Gaulle-Étoile) to Marne-la-Vallée — Chessy station, right at the park entrance, in around 40–50 minutes. By public transport, this is the fastest option. Cost: €5–7 per person.
From CDG or Orly by Private Chauffeur
Flying in directly with luggage and kids? A private chauffeur transfer makes all the difference: loading the bags, settling into a comfortable van, baby seat or booster available on request, no connections. Paris Prestige Drive covers CDG → Disneyland and Orly → Disneyland transfers in under an hour.
From Your Paris Hotel
An early morning family trip on the Paris metro can be stressful. A direct shuttle from your accommodation to the park gates lets you start the day calmly — and get home in the evening with sleeping children, no fuss.
Must-Do Rides by Age
- Toddlers (2–5): Fantasyland (Peter Pan, Dumbo), Autopia, Character Meet & Greets.
- Kids (6–12): Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars Galaxy's Edge.
- Teens & adults: Space Mountain, Ratatouille, Indiana Jones and Walt Disney Studios rides.
Hotels and Accommodation
Staying at a Disney hotel gives you Early Magic Hours access — entry to the parks before general opening. The most sought-after — Disneyland Hotel, New York The Art of Marvel — book out quickly. More affordable options exist in nearby Chessy and Val d'Europe, with regular shuttles to the parks.
Luggage lockers available at the park entrance. Baby care rooms and changing facilities throughout both parks. Pushchairs are permitted in the main walkways.
