Night Transfer to CDG Airport: Everything You Need to Know

A long-haul flight landing at 2am. A business departure at 5:30am. Returning from holiday late on a Sunday night. Airports never sleep — but public transport does. The RER B stops running around midnight, leaving a five-hour gap every night. Here's how to organise a smooth night transfer at CDG.

Why public transport isn't enough at night

The RER B, the main rail link between CDG and Paris, runs until around 11:40pm from CDG and from 4:50am. Between those hours — roughly five hours each night — there's no direct train to the city. Night buses (Noctilien N140/N143) take 90 to 120 minutes with multiple stops. Not ideal after a long flight with luggage.

🌙 Night surcharge

A supplement of €10 applies to rides between 10pm and 6am at Paris Prestige Drive. It is always shown before booking confirmation.

Tips for very late arrivals or very early departures

Late-night arrivals

Allow at least 45 minutes after landing before reaching the driver — disembarkation, immigration, baggage claim. For long-haul flights with checked luggage, allow 60 minutes.

Pre-dawn departures

For a 6:30am flight with check-in at 4:30am, plan to leave central Paris between 3:30am and 4:00am. Traffic is clear at night — journey time from the city centre rarely exceeds 35 minutes.
