Orly Airport to Paris: All Transport Options Compared

Paris-Orly is the second-largest airport in France, just 14 km from central Paris. Despite its proximity, the public transport link isn't always as straightforward as it seems. Here's a full breakdown of every option — with prices and honest pros and cons.

Your options from Orly

1. Orlyval + RER B

The Orlyval automated shuttle connects Orly terminals to Antony station on the RER B, then into central Paris (Châtelet–Les Halles or Gare du Nord). Journey: 35–45 minutes. Cost: around €14/person. Fine if you're travelling light during the day — less comfortable with heavy luggage on a crowded train.

2. Orlybus

The Orlybus runs directly to Denfert-Rochereau (14th). Journey: 30–40 minutes without traffic. Cost: around €11. Sensitive to peak-hour congestion, reduced frequency at night.

3. Fixed-rate taxi

Since 2016, official Parisian taxis charge fixed fares from Orly: €35 to the Left Bank, €41 to the Right Bank (daytime). Night supplement applies. Queue times can be long at busy periods.

4. Private chauffeur VTC

A pre-booked private driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, handles luggage, and drives directly to your hotel or address at a price agreed before departure — no meter, no surprises.
